Round 7 Results and Match Report

Hi Team, as you know we played another gruelling match against Team Ramrod last week and drew 7:7. A game we should have won perhaps?

Results: The goals were as follows;
Toshy: 4
Matt Harris: 1
Tom Hobbs: 1,
Opposition kicked own goal.

Match Result:
As we all know we were severely undermanned and only just had enough players for the match. Captain Keysey, Sam and Wardy were all out so we were going in undermanned and knew the game will be tough. It was great to see Toshy back and he sure made a difference. He will probably get votes this game and looks a strong candidate for Rookie of the year. I am very much looking forward to this weeks game with a close to full strength team!

Current Players Vs Past Players

Hi Team, as most of you are aware we are planning to organise an outdoor Exhibition Match between Current Players versus Past Players. This game will be awesome! We will be doing some organising after this Thursday night's game. I think following preliminary interest both teams will field fairly strong sides. I think the game will be probably best played maybe in March and probably on a Saturday. Also we will be obviously having beers and a meal afterwards, venue will be decided on soon. Can some of the current players who have contact with some of the past players please get the word out. I will put the word out to many as I can within the week. Any queries please let me know.

Round 5 Results and Match Report

Hi Team, as you know we played a gruelling match against Prodrive last week and lost 7:4. We were a bit flat and a tad unlucky with some umpiring decisions and we fought gallantly to the end. I am sure we can get up against them next time! Also Wardy was missed with his solid and dependable play from the centre, so Wardy if you are reading this we need you.

Results: The goals were as follows;

Toshy: 1 (From penalty)
Matt Harris: 1
Sam Hobbs: 1
Luke Keys: 1

Match Result:
OK, we played quality opposition that were accurate with their kicking and it showed. We really picked up in the 2nd half and got a sniff into the game and the final score didn't really reflect the true result of the game. Anyway we held our chin up to fight another day and it was great that we all had a beer after the game and conceded that it wasn't the End of the World. I thought as a team we felt a bit flat maybe the week off last week didn't help. I look forward to this week though.

Wardy's Out and Dom's In

Hi Team, Wardy is out tonite due to work commitments, I'm trying to get in touch with Dom to see if he wants a run tonite. Any ideas on tonite, can anyone remember playing Prodrive? They are 2nd on the ladder and I reckon they could be tough opposition.

See you all tonite!

Simo

Hi Team, just a late post letting everyone know that Davey is playing tonite.

Round 4 Results and Match Report

OK Boys, Anthosis Ur Face didn't turn up or forfeited so obviously our opposition is scared of us. We did however enjoyed a bit of a run last night playing each other and to get a feel of playing in different positions and trying new things on the court. The game was tightly contested with the whites holding out victors 11 to 9. I didn't keep tabs on who kicked goals but I think Toshy and Keys kicked most of them and Sammy kicked a couple as well. It was a great workout!

If anyone is interested in participating in a bit of training early next week please let me know. Wardy suggested practicing set plays which is something we should consider. Also stay tuned for this season's fixture which will be put on the Blog shortly.

Round 3 Results and Match Report

Hi Team, well done to all players this was a 'Real' team effort. We could not ask for a better start for the season. Just in case you can't recall the result we won 15 to 4 against 'The Other Team' in a devasting display of football.

Results: The goal scorers for the match are as follows:

Sam Hobbs: 4
Toshy: 4
Nick Ward: 4
Matt Harris: 3

Match Report:
Besdies a great Team Effort there was clear evidence that we have improved our running game. We played a lot better from the centre and created space for players moving forward. Sammy played a cracker of a game as with many other players. Special mention must be made to our new recruit 'Toshy' who played great to very exceptional football for a first gamer. Wardy and Haz contributed with an awesome display of football. As usual our Captain was inspirational and our Goal Keeper was very solid and always dependable.

Next Week:
Now back to business we play Anothosis Ur Face next Thursday at 20.00PM (8.00PM) on court 1. This team is our nemesis and would be very sweet to seek revenge from our last outing. I wan't everyone to post comments and tactics on the Blog before this game. Firstly I propose to play myself as a tagger on no. 10 (You know who he is....) and make sure that he is constantly under pressure to get the ball etc.... Infact to make sure that he barely gets a kick...etc...

Stay tuned to the Blog for further updates throughout the week. Well done again Real!
